The Application of Erosion Method in Metal Mineral Identification of the Yangshan Mine Area

Abstract:

Etching method is an important supplementary means in metal mineral identification under polarizing microscope by using the method and principle of chemical.Using a certain concentration of KOH,HNO3 and HCl chemical reagent to identify the etching common metal mineral arsenopyrite,pyrite,stibnite and galena of the Yangshan gold deposit,researches show that this method works best for sulfide,salts contain sulfur and oxide and can effectively distinguish the similar physical characteristics of metal minerals.This method can show mineral internal microstructure bitterly and contribute to identify physical characteristics similar mineral quickly, play an important role in the study of physical and chemical characteristics,formation environments and ore genesis and guide the prospecting.
