Characteristics and Prospecting Direction of Gentle-dipping Gold Orebody in Huaishuping Mining Area,Henan Province

Abstract:

Huaishuping gold mine,found in the area of Xiong’er mountain for the past few years,is a large metamorphic rock type gold deposit,which is controlled by the slightly dipping faults.The main orebody is located in the slightly dipping decollement fracture structure between the layers of Jidanping Formation in Mesoproterozoic Xiong’er Group.It has certain guiding significance for determining the next step prospecting direction and looking for the same type of gold deposits by researching on slightly dipping orebody characteristics in the area of Xiong’er mountain.The slightly dipping orebody showed wavelike thin vein of form,and relatively stable along the strike and dip in profiles.The alteration have pyritization,silication and potassium.Orebodies are stable in thickness and grade.The element of Au was significantly correlated with Bi and Ag elements,the axial zoning of primary halo of gold deposits was obviously,and the leading edge halo and tail halo elements overlap and coexist,which was“reverse banding” phenomenon.The orebodies are also extend to deep.The interlayer slip gentle-dipping faults are the most important ore-bearing structures in this area,which controls the morphology,occurrence and mineralization of gold deposits.This thesis point out that along the strike and tendency of the slightly dipping orebody is the main direction of prospecting.
